Who sets the OMSB exam date
In Oman the first question is which body you belong under. OMSB deals with physicians, while nursing, pharmacy and allied health licences go through the Ministry of Health, which keeps its own portal and queue. Whichever applies, the exam is an individual Prometric appointment made after eligibility is issued. There are no announced sittings.
Approved centres operate in Oman and abroad. For planning, the OMSB timeline on this site lists the exam step as: 2 – 5 weeks to book & sit. Treat that as typical, not promised.

Your employer opens the file
The sponsoring employer starts the application with OMSB for physicians, or with MOH Oman for the other professions.

Send in Dataflow verification
A standard verification report is part of the file, and evaluation waits for it.

Eligibility is issued
The verified file is evaluated and, if accepted, eligibility for the exam is issued.

Reserve the Prometric seat
Sign in to Prometric's website (or create an account), choose the programme for your regulator, then select a centre and one of the dates it shows as free. The exam fee is paid online at the same time.

Test day
Carry the same passport you registered with plus the appointment confirmation, and be at the centre about half an hour before your start time. Bags, phones and watches stay in a locker. Registration and the practice permit follow a pass.

Does OMSB publish an exam calendar?
No. The licensing paper is an individual Prometric appointment made after eligibility is issued. Openings differ from centre to centre, so check your Prometric account for dates.
Can I sit the OMSB exam outside Oman?
Yes - once eligibility is issued you can book any OMSB-authorised Prometric centre internationally.
