Exam Dates by Authority

Seven Gulf regulators and the UAE residency entrance exam: who fixes the date, what must be done before you can book, and where to look for live availability.

Why you will not find a timetable

Candidates look for a list of sittings because that is how university and board exams work. Gulf licensing papers do not work that way. The regulator first decides whether you may sit, which means your file has been opened and Dataflow has verified it, and only then can you reserve a seat at a test centre. The seat you reserve is your exam date. Prometric runs the booking for DHA, MOHAP, NHRA, OMSB, QCHP and SCFHS. Pearson VUE runs the booking for DOH. What is open depends on the centre, and centres in the large cities are taken first.

The exception is EMREE. It is an entrance test for residency training, run by the National Institute for Health Specialties (NIHS) as part of the residency application, so NIHS announces its dates and no test-centre booking is involved.

No exam days are listed on these pages, on purpose: a copied date goes stale, and the live one is a login away in your test provider's account, your regulator's portal or the NIHS notice. Pages last reviewed .

Dates announced by NIHS

A residency entrance test, not a licence exam, and nothing you reserve with an eligibility ID.

From application to test day, in four moves

  1. The regulator gets your file and Dataflow verifies the documents in it at source. Start this first: it is nearly always the longest wait.
  2. The regulator clears you to sit. The name of that clearance varies (an Eligibility ID in Dubai and Saudi Arabia, an evaluation letter in Qatar), and until you hold it no seat can be reserved.
  3. You reserve the seat: with Prometric for DHA, MOHAP, NHRA, OMSB, QCHP and SCFHS; with Pearson VUE for DOH. Choose the centre, then a date it shows as free. Fees and the exact clicks differ by regulator and are on each page above.
  4. On the day, take the passport you registered with and the appointment confirmation, and be there about half an hour early.
