Nursing Jobs in Qatar 2026: Where Vacancies Are Posted at Hamad Medical Corporation, Sidra Medicine, Primary Health Care Corporation and Private Hospitals, How Hamad Recruitment Campaigns Work, IELTS and OET Rules, How to Apply, Salary and Housing, and How to Avoid Fake Vacancies

Where to find genuine nursing vacancies in Qatar in 2026: Hamad Medical Corporation's career portal and international recruitment campaigns, Sidra Medicine, the Primary Health Care Corporation, Aspetar and the private hospitals, how the employer-opened QCHP licence works, IELTS and OET requirements, which specialties are hiring, how to apply from India, the Philippines and elsewhere, what the Hamad package includes, and the signs of a fake vacancy.

Qatar's nursing market is smaller than Saudi Arabia's or the UAE's but pays at the top of the Gulf, provides housing in government posts and has no VAT, which makes it the most sought-after destination for nurses who qualify. It is also the most centralised: Hamad Medical Corporation employs the majority of nurses in the country and recruits through structured campaigns, the licence is opened by the employer, and most government posts require IELTS or OET. This guide lists where genuine vacancies appear in 2026, how Hamad hiring works and how to apply. The licence and full route are in how to get a nursing job in Qatar.

How Hamad recruitment works

  1. Hamad announces a campaign for a cohort (often by specialty) on its portal and through its contracted licensed agencies in India, the Philippines and other source countries.
  2. Candidates apply online with CV and documents; shortlisted nurses are interviewed by Hamad nursing directors, in person at interview drives or by video, with a structured clinical and behavioural format.
  3. Selected nurses receive an offer letter stating grade, salary, housing and allowances; Hamad then opens the QCHP/DHP licensing file, and the nurse completes DataFlow and the Prometric exam under a deadline (free QCHP-style questions, QCHP for nurses).
  4. Hamad processes the visa and arrival, with orientation on joining; the whole process takes four to eight months.

IELTS and OET

Hamad, Sidra and PHCC usually require IELTS Academic (commonly an overall band of 6.0 to 6.5 with no component below 5.5 to 6.0, depending on the role) or an OET grade of B to C+ for nurses not educated in English; some private employers do not require it. Check the campaign's stated requirement, book the test early because dates fill, and see English requirements for the authority-by-authority rules.

Pay by specialty and employer is in nurse salary in Qatar: about QAR 6,000 to 10,000 a month for a registered nurse and QAR 7,500 to 12,000 for specialised nurses, with provided housing or an allowance, tickets, leave and gratuity in government posts.

How to apply

  • Eligibility: a BSc Nursing (Hamad prefers degrees; some diploma nurses are hired as assistant nurses), home registration, two years of recent experience in a 100-bed-plus hospital, and a Good Standing certificate (eligibility check).
  • Be exam-ready before you apply: the QCHP exam is sat after the offer under a deadline, and nurses who have prepared with the Registered Nurse bank keep their offers.
  • CV and interview: lead with degree, registration, unit experience with bed capacity, certifications and IELTS or OET; Hamad interviews are structured and clinical (CV guide, interview questions).
  • Documents: degree and experience certificates attested through the home ministry and the Qatar embassy, police clearance and medical examination for the visa (attestation guide).
  • Emigration rules: eMigrate for Indian ECR passport holders, an OEC through a DMW-licensed agency for Filipino nurses (how agencies work).

What the Hamad package includes

Hamad and the other government employers provide furnished accommodation or a housing allowance, a furniture allowance on joining, transport, annual tickets, 30 to 40 days' leave, medical cover under the national scheme, and end-of-service gratuity; there is no income tax and no VAT. A nurse on QAR 8,000 with provided housing typically sends home QAR 5,000 to 6,000 a month. Family sponsorship depends on the salary threshold, which registered nurses usually meet (family visa rules, what to check before accepting).

How to spot a fake Qatar nursing vacancy

  • Any demand for money for a visa, "eligibility", DataFlow or the exam paid to an agent; Hamad campaigns are employer-funded.
  • "Hamad offers" from Gmail addresses, without a named signatory, grade and the QCHP process described.
  • Agencies not on the eMigrate or DMW lists, or "campaigns" that Hamad's recruitment office cannot confirm.
  • Guaranteed selection or exam exemption.
  • Verify every offer on the HMC portal or by contacting its recruitment office from the official website.
