The regulators know the Egyptian qualification ladder well — which cuts both ways, because they also know exactly how a Master's, an MD and the Egyptian Fellowship differ.

The classification question Egyptian doctors ask most is whether an MSc is enough for Specialist. Usually it isn't on its own: MD, Egyptian Fellowship or Arab Board are what most authorities read as full specialist qualifications, while an MSc with substantial documented specialty experience is considered case by case.   • BSc Nursing (4-year + internship year) from a university faculty of nursing
  • Master's / Doctorate in Nursing
Diploma route
  • Technical Institute of Nursing diploma (2-year) — limited acceptance
  • Secondary nursing school diploma — generally mapped to assistant / technician titles only
ClassificationBSc Nursing with syndicate registration is accepted as Registered Nurse across the GCC. Technical Institute diplomas are typically routed to Nurse Technician / Assistant Nurse titles, and some authorities will not license the secondary-school diploma at all.
Doctors
Basic qualification (GP tier)

MBBCh from a recognised Egyptian faculty of medicine, plus the internship (house officer) year and Ministry of Health / syndicate registration

BSc Physical Therapy (5-year), BSc Applied Health Sciences (lab, radiology, anaesthesia technology) or BSc Nutrition from a recognised faculty.

DataFlow & attestation

Verification of Egypt-issued documents typically takes 4–8 weeks — the longest single step in the DHA process.

Documents typically need Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs attestation, then destination-embassy attestation in Cairo. Translations should be from a certified translation office and attested with the originals.

Excludes attestation, certified translations, courier, travel to the exam centre and any re-sit fees. The DHA exam fee shown ($240 – $280, about ≈ E£12,000 – E£14,000) comes from the authority's published range.

Common problems for Egyptian applicants

  • Arabic-language certificates submitted without certified English translations — DataFlow and the authorities require sworn translations of every document
  • Master's degree submitted expecting Specialist classification, then downgraded because the specialty experience isn't separately documented
  • Syndicate membership card used instead of a formal Good Standing letter from the syndicate
  • Name mismatch between passport, degree certificate and council registration (a missing middle name or a different spelling is enough to stall DataFlow)
  • Experience letters that don't state the hospital's bed count, your exact dates or the HR office contact details verifiers will phone
  • Internship or house-job time counted as post-qualification experience — every GCC authority counts experience only after full registration
  • Lapsed or un-renewed home-council registration at the time the Good Standing Certificate is requested
