Which Bangladeshi qualifications DHA accepts

Basic qualification (GP tier)

MBBS from a BMDC-recognised college, plus one-year internship and full BMDC registration

Common problems for Bangladeshi applicants

  • BNMC registration certificates issued under the older Bangladesh Nursing Council name that verifiers struggle to match
  • BMDC registration lapsed at the time Good Standing is requested — renew online first
  • University verification delays for older diploma programmes affiliated to the State Medical Faculty
  • Name mismatch between passport, degree certificate and council registration (a missing middle name or a different spelling is enough to stall DataFlow)
  • Experience letters that don't state the hospital's bed count, your exact dates or the HR office contact details verifiers will phone
  • Internship or house-job time counted as post-qualification experience — every GCC authority counts experience only after full registration
  • Lapsed or un-renewed home-council registration at the time the Good Standing Certificate is requested
