NHRA Exam Fees 2026: What the Bahrain Prometric Exam, DataFlow, Evaluation and Licence Cost for Nurses, Doctors, Pharmacists and Dentists — in USD, Bahraini Dinars, Rupees and Pesos

The NHRA Bahrain Prometric exam costs roughly USD 180–260 per attempt — about BHD 68–98 or INR 16,000–23,000. This guide itemises every NHRA licensing fee for 2026 (evaluation, DataFlow, exam, licence), the specialist and consultant surcharge, what the employer usually pays, and why Bahrain is the cheapest GCC licence.

Short answer: the NHRA Prometric exam fee is roughly USD 180–260 per attempt — about BHD 68–98, INR 16,000–23,000, PKR 50,500–73,000 or PHP 10,500–15,000. It is paid by card when you book the seat. The exam is one of four costs, and Bahrain's total is the lowest in the Gulf.

When the employer covers the licence, a candidate typically pays USD 440–690 out of pocket (evaluation, DataFlow and exam). Paying every line yourself brings it to USD 570–960. Compare that with DHA or DOH, where the same four lines run well over USD 1,000 — the side-by-side view is in Prometric exam fees for every GCC authority.

All figures are approximate 2026 ranges, converted at fixed rates (USD 1 = BHD 0.376, KWD 0.307, INR 88, PKR 280, PHP 57). Authorities change fees without notice and your bank adds its own card charge, so confirm the amount on the official portal at the moment you pay.

Does the fee change by profession?

ProfessionExam (USD)Licence issuance (USD)

DataFlow does not depend on profession but on how many documents are verified. The standard file is four documents (degree, transcript, registration, one experience letter); each extra employer or qualification adds roughly USD 40–60. A consultant with two degrees and four employers can pay USD 400 or more for DataFlow alone.

What you pay, in order

  1. NHRA e-services file. Created by you or by the Bahraini employer, with the evaluation fee. 1–3 days to upload.
  2. DataFlow. Paid directly to DataFlow when you submit the Bahrain package. Takes 5–8 weeks (DataFlow guide).
  3. Exam eligibility and booking. After NHRA reviews the file (1–2 weeks) you receive eligibility and pay Prometric when you book.
  4. Licence issuance. Paid only once a Bahraini facility sponsors you — usually by the facility.

Our licence fee calculator builds this total for your profession and number of documents, with the option to add a retake and attestation.

Retakes, rescheduling and hidden costs

  • Retake: the full exam fee again. NHRA follows the usual GCC pattern of limited attempts per eligibility with a waiting period (retake rules).
  • Rescheduling: free or cheap well ahead of the date, expensive or forfeited inside the last few days (rescheduling guide).
  • Attestation: home MOFA and, where applicable, Bahrain embassy attestation of the degree — USD 150–400 with courier.
  • Good Standing Certificate: small fee at home, but it must be under six months old when NHRA reviews (guide).

Why Bahrain is cheaper

NHRA is a single national regulator with one portal and one licence for the whole kingdom, so there is no separate classification body, no emirate-level licence and a smaller evaluation fee. The full route, document list and timeline are on the NHRA authority page, and profession-specific pages such as NHRA exam for nurses and NHRA exam for doctors cover the syllabus. Nurses should read the NHRA licence guide for nurses.

Frequently asked questions

How much is the NHRA Prometric exam fee in 2026?

About USD 180–260 per attempt for nurses, GPs, pharmacists, dentists and allied health, and about USD 215–310 for specialists. That is roughly BHD 68–98 at the base tier.

What is the total cost of an NHRA licence?

About USD 440–690 out of pocket when the employer pays licence issuance, or USD 570–960 if you pay every line yourself.

Can I pay the NHRA exam fee in rupees or pesos?

The fee is charged in US dollars by card at booking. Your bank converts it and adds its own foreign transaction charge.

Is the NHRA exam fee refundable?

No. You can reschedule within Prometric's deadlines, but a missed exam or a late cancellation forfeits the fee.

Is Bahrain the cheapest GCC licence?

Yes, in most cases. NHRA's evaluation and licence fees are lower than those of the UAE, Saudi and Qatari regulators, and there is only one licensing layer.
