Free Prometric Exam Questions 2026: Where to Practise for Free, What Free Can and Cannot Do, and the Free PDFs to Avoid

Where to find genuinely free Prometric exam questions in 2026 for nurses, doctors, pharmacists, dentists and allied health: free chapter previews on every exam bank, free sample question articles with answers, the official authority sample papers, what free practice cannot give you, and why the 'free PDF' groups cost candidates their exam.

You should never pay for a question bank before you have seen real questions from it. You also should not build your whole preparation on free files from a Telegram group. This guide lists the free Prometric practice that is actually worth your time, explains what free cannot do, and shows how to use it to decide where to spend.

1. Free chapter previews on every exam bank

Every one of the 126 exam banks on this site has a free chapter 1 preview: 15 questions with full explanations, no card and no payment. It is the real bank, not a sample written for marketing. Open your exam on the exams page and start chapter 1:

2. Free sample question articles with answers and rationale

Each of these articles has 15 original questions in the real exam style, each with the answer and a short explanation:

3. Official sample papers and blueprints

DHA, SCFHS, QCHP and DOH publish candidate handbooks and, for some exams, short sample papers. They are small but they are the only truly "official" questions, and the blueprint tells you the domain weighting. Links and what each contains are in syllabus and blueprint by profession and best books and resources.

4. Free articles on the high-yield topics

Not questions, but the next best thing: lists of the areas that repeat in every paper, for nurses and doctors, plus the 30-day study plan.

What free practice cannot do

  • Volume. Free previews and sample articles give you perhaps 100 to 200 questions. First-time passers do 1,500 to 2,500.
  • Timed, full-length mocks. A real mock needs a bank large enough to draw a fresh 150-question paper from, three times.
  • Coverage. Free material clusters around the popular topics. The exam does not.
  • Tracking. Knowing your score by domain is what turns practice into a plan.

Use the free material to test a bank's quality and your own baseline, then decide. The full banks cost USD 33.99 for nursing and allied health exams and USD 64.99 for physician and dentist exams, for three months, with three timed mocks included. The comparison in preparation cost: bank vs coaching vs books puts that against the alternatives.

The "free PDF" trap

Telegram and Facebook groups circulate files titled "DHA nursing 1000 questions" or "SCFHS actual exam 2026". Three problems:

  • The answer keys are wrong, often one in five, and you cannot tell which.
  • They are years old. Guidelines have changed; the "correct" answer on hypertension targets or sepsis bundles may now be wrong.
  • "Actual exam" files are treated as cheating. Prometric's candidate agreement forbids obtaining exam content, and authorities have cancelled eligibility over it.

If you want free questions, use the sources above. They are current, they are explained, and nobody will take your licence away for using them.

Frequently asked questions

Where can I get free Prometric exam questions?

Chapter 1 of every exam bank on this site is free with explanations, and the sample question articles above give 15 free questions per profession.

Are free Prometric questions enough to pass?

Rarely. They are enough to find your baseline and test a bank's quality, not to cover a full blueprint under time.

Are "actual exam questions" PDFs real?

No, and using them can cost you your eligibility. Prometric rotates items and the files are old, with unreliable answer keys.

Is there a free Prometric mock test?

Free previews, yes. Full-length timed mocks are included with the paid bank because they need a large bank behind them.

Do I need to register to use the free preview?

A free account lets you save progress; no card or payment is needed for chapter 1.
