The route is the standard DHA sequence — Sheryan, DataFlow, a Prometric exam, then activation by an employer — but the title you apply for matters more than many pharmacists realise.

A diploma pharmacist (for example D.Pharm) is normally licensed as a pharmacy technician, not a pharmacist. A Pharm.D graduate without clinical experience usually starts as a pharmacist. Check your likely title with the eligibility check or DHA's own Sheryan self-assessment.
The DHA process for pharmacists
- Sheryan account. Register, choose Pharmacy and the title, and upload documents (Sheryan registration guide). Free.
- DataFlow. Your degree, registration and experience are verified at source. 4–8 weeks (DataFlow guide).
- Eligibility. DHA reviews the file and issues an eligibility ID. 3–7 working days.
- Prometric exam. Book in Dubai or at a centre at home. Result on screen.
- Licence and activation. The licence is issued after the pass; a Dubai pharmacy or hospital activates it when it employs you.
Allow 8–16 weeks in total. Eligibility has a limited validity — if it lapses, see eligibility expired.
The DHA pharmacy exam
