Prometric Exam Results: How Long They Take, How to Check Them & What the Score Report Means
When and where you get your GCC licensing exam result — timelines for DHA, MOHAP, DOH, SCFHS, QCHP, NHRA and OMSB, how scaled scores and pass marks work, what to do while you wait, and the exact next steps after a pass or fail.
You walk out of the test centre and the first question is “when will I know?”. The answer depends entirely on which authority you sat for — some show a provisional result on screen, others take weeks to publish a scaled score inside their own portal. Here is what to expect from each, and how to read the report when it arrives.

Prometric itself does not release GCC authority results to candidates — it transmits raw data to the authority, which applies the pass standard and publishes the outcome. Emailing Prometric will not speed anything up.
Why results take time: scaled scoring
Most authorities use a scaled score rather than a raw percentage. Different exam forms have slightly different difficulty, so the raw number of correct answers is converted to a common scale before comparison with the pass standard. This is why two candidates can both “get 62%” raw and one passes while the other does not, and why some authorities take weeks: they wait until enough candidates have sat a form to equate it. Reading your score report
A typical report shows:
- Outcome — Pass / Fail
- Your scaled score and the passing scaled score (for example 615 vs a pass standard of 600, or a percentage on some authorities)
- Domain performance bands — “Below”, “Borderline”, “Above” for each blueprint area

What to do while you wait
- Check your DataFlow status. The licence cannot be issued until PSV is complete, and this is usually the slower track (guide).

- Prepare licence-stage documents: Good Standing Certificate (guide), passport-size photos, updated experience letter.
- Do not book another exam. Wait for the result; a second booking is not refundable if you passed.
After a pass: the next steps
- Authority portal status moves to “Eligible for licence” or “Exam passed”.

- The facility activates your licence and pays the activation fee (in most contracts).
- Visa, medical fitness, and you start work. The Dubai roadmap shows the full sequence for the UAE; other GCC states follow the same shape.
Your exam pass has a validity period — commonly 1–2 years — within which you must activate the licence. Do not sit on it.
Result delays and disputes
- If your status has not changed after the typical window, raise a ticket in the authority portal quoting your eligibility ID and Prometric confirmation number.
- Results are final; there is no re-marking of MCQ exams. Appeals are only entertained for administrative errors (wrong exam code, technical failure logged at the centre).
- If the centre had a technical incident, ask the invigilator for an incident report number before you leave — it is your only evidence.
