Mumaris Plus Registration 2026: Step-by-Step SCFHS Guide for Nurses, Doctors and Allied Health

Mumaris Plus is the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties portal through which every nurse, doctor, dentist, pharmacist and allied health professional is classified and registered to practise in Saudi Arabia. Before you start: documents to prepare

Have these as clear colour scans (PDF, each under the portal's file-size limit) before creating the account. Uploading a partial set and adding later is the most common cause of delay.

• Passport bio page
• Passport photograph, white background
• Primary qualification certificate and full academic transcripts
• Internship completion certificate (doctors, dentists, pharmacists) or registration certificate (nurses and allied health)
• Postgraduate or board certificate, if you are applying for Specialist or Consultant classification
• Experience certificates on letterhead with exact dates, job title, department and HR contact details, covering the years you are claiming
• Home-country professional licence or registration, current
• Good Standing Certificate, issued within the last six months
• Updated CV in the SCFHS format (chronological, no gaps)

Step 1: Create your Mumaris Plus account

1. Go to the Mumaris Plus portal and choose New User.
2. Select your applicant type. Overseas applicants register as non-Saudi, non-resident; applicants already in the Kingdom use their Iqama number.
3. Enter passport details exactly as printed. Name order and spelling must match every other document; a mismatch with your degree certificate will be queried later.
4. Verify your email and phone. Keep this email active for the entire process; every status change arrives there.

Step 2: Open a Professional Classification request

Classification is the SCFHS decision on your professional category and tier (for example Nurse Specialist, General Practitioner, Registrar, Senior Registrar, Consultant, Technician or Specialist in an allied field). It determines the exam you sit, the jobs you can hold and your salary band, so it is worth getting right the first time.

1. From the dashboard choose Services, then Professional Classification.
2. Select your profession and the category you believe you qualify for. Choose based on the documented years and qualifications, not on your current job title at home; SCFHS classifies on evidence.
3. Upload every document listed above against the matching field. Experience must be entered employer by employer with dates that match the certificates.
4. Pay the classification fee: USD 100 to 270 depending on the tier, with Consultant highest.
5. Submit. You will receive a reference number; note it.

Step 3: Dataflow verification through Mumaris Plus

SCFHS requires primary source verification of your qualification, licence and experience. The Dataflow request is raised from within Mumaris Plus so that the report is linked to your file automatically; do not open a separate Dataflow case yourself unless the portal directs you to.

1. Once the classification request is accepted for processing, the portal prompts you to proceed to Dataflow.
2. Confirm the documents to be verified (typically degree, licence and up to two experience certificates) and pay the Dataflow fee: USD 220 to 340 for the SCFHS package in 2026.
3. Dataflow contacts your university, council and employers. This takes 6 to 10 weeks and is the longest step. Reply promptly if Dataflow asks for a document reissue.

Step 4: The classification decision

With Dataflow complete, the SCFHS scientific committee reviews your file. Typical statuses you will see on Mumaris Plus and what they mean:

The most frequent cause of downgrade is specialty experience that is not clearly documented as such. A letter saying "worked as doctor" for five years does not prove five years in a specialty; the letter must state the department and role.

Step 5: Prometric exam eligibility and booking

After classification you become eligible for the Prometric exam for your category (the SMLE for physicians, the Saudi Nursing Licensing Exam for nurses, and the corresponding papers for pharmacists, dentists and allied health). Mumaris Plus issues an eligibility number. Book through the Prometric website at any centre worldwide. The exam fee is USD 200 to 320, higher for Specialist and Consultant tiers, and the paper is 150 to 200 MCQs in 3 hours with a pass mark around 60%.

Step 6: Professional registration and the certificate

With a pass recorded, open the Professional Registration service on Mumaris Plus, pay the registration fee (USD 130 to 270), and receive your SCFHS Professional Classification and Registration certificate. This is the document employers need to issue the work visa and that the Ministry of Health uses to issue the practice licence. It is valid for a fixed period and renewed through the same portal against CME hours.

Errors that stall Mumaris Plus files

1. Name mismatch between passport, degree and licence. Get an affidavit of one and the same person before submitting if any document differs.
2. Experience entered on the portal that does not match the certificates to the month.
3. Requesting a tier the evidence does not support, then losing weeks to an appeal.
4. Opening a Dataflow case outside the portal so the report is not linked.
5. Good Standing Certificate expiring during the long Dataflow window. Time the request for when the committee will review, not when you start.
6. Ignoring a "returned for correction" notice past its deadline, which closes the request.

Frequently asked questions

Can I register on Mumaris Plus without a job offer?

Yes. Overseas candidates can complete classification, Dataflow and the exam independently. Having the SCFHS certificate in hand is a strong advantage in the Saudi Arabia talent pool, because employers can issue a visa immediately.

How long does SCFHS classification take?

12 to 24 weeks end to end, most of it Dataflow. Files with a Dataflow transfer from another authority and clean experience letters finish nearest 12.

What is the difference between classification and registration?

Classification is the decision on your category and tier. Registration is the certificate issued after you pass the exam, and it is what allows you to be licensed to practise. Both are done on Mumaris Plus.

My classification came back one tier lower. Should I appeal?

Only if you have additional evidence (a board certificate, a more specific experience letter) that was not in the original file. Appeals with the same documents are rarely successful. Many candidates accept the tier, start work and reapply for upgrade with Saudi experience later.
