The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) licenses healthcare professionals for the Northern Emirates — Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain. It's often the fastest and most affordable UAE entry point, and its facilities are hiring aggressively.
MOHAP vs DHA vs DOH — which do you need?
UAE has three main licensing authorities by geography: DHA (Dubai), DOH (Abu Dhabi) and MOHAP (everywhere else). The exams share a similar Prometric MCQ style, and transferring between authorities later is possible without re-examination in many cases. Full comparison on our UAE page.
Eligibility basics
- Recognised degree/diploma in your profession

- Recent clinical experience (commonly 2 years post-qualification; varies by title)
The MOHAP process
- Create an account on the MOHAP e-services portal
- Complete DataFlow verification
- Pass the MOHAP Prometric evaluation exam
- Receive your evaluation certificate → employer completes licensing
Exam format
- Questions: 70–100 MCQs (title dependent)
- Duration: 2–3 hours
- Pass score: ~60%
- Attempts: three attempts before a re-application cycle
