DHA Licence for Physiotherapists 2026: Eligibility, Experience Rules, the DHA Physiotherapy Exam, Fees in AED and INR, and Physio Jobs in Dubai

How physiotherapists get licensed in Dubai in 2026: DHA eligibility and experience rules, BPT vs MPT, Sheryan and DataFlow, the DHA physiotherapy Prometric exam and its blueprint, fees in AED, INR, PKR and PHP, timeline, and salaries.

Physiotherapists are in steady demand in Dubai — in hospitals, rehabilitation centres, sports clinics and home care. The licence comes from the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) and follows the same Sheryan, DataFlow and Prometric route as other professions. Here is what physiotherapists need in 2026.

Eligibility

  • Degree: a recognised bachelor's in physiotherapy (BPT/BSc PT) of at least four years. Shorter diplomas are not normally accepted for the Physiotherapist title.
  • Registration: current registration or licence in your home country.
  • Experience: generally two years of recent clinical experience after qualification, documented with exact dates.
  • Good Standing Certificate issued within the last six months.

A master's (MPT) does not usually change your title on its own, but it strengthens your application to employers and helps for specialised posts such as neuro, paediatric or sports rehabilitation.

Step by step

  1. Sheryan account and self-assessment (Sheryan guide).
  2. Application and DataFlow verification (4–8 weeks).
  3. DHA physiotherapy exam at Prometric.
  4. Eligibility letter, then a job offer.
  5. Employer activates the licence and handles the visa.

The DHA physiotherapy exam

  • Computer-based single-best-answer MCQs, about 60% to pass.
  • Blueprint: musculoskeletal and orthopaedic rehabilitation, neurological physiotherapy, cardiopulmonary physiotherapy, paediatrics, electrotherapy and exercise prescription, anatomy and kinesiology, and professional ethics.

Practise with the Physiotherapist question bank; the exam is described in detail in Prometric exam for physiotherapists.
