Pakistan supplies a large and steadily growing share of the GCC's clinical workforce, particularly to Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Qatar. Doctors with FCPS are well recognised across the Gulf; nurses trained through the diploma route face more classification questions, so knowing where your qualification lands before paying for DataFlow saves both time and money.

The two paperwork issues that trip up more Pakistani files than anything else are missing HEC attestation and an out-of-date PM&DC or PNC registration. Both are fixable in weeks, but only if you handle them before verification starts — DataFlow will not wait while you renew.

ClassificationDiploma-plus-specialisation nurses are typically accepted as Registered Nurse in the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman with around 2 years' experience. SCFHS generally maps the 3-year diploma to Nurse Technician; a completed Post-RN BSN usually lifts you back to the nursing (RN-equivalent) tier.
Doctors
Basic qualification (GP tier)

MBBS from a PM&DC-recognised college, plus one-year house job

Usually accepted for Specialist
  • FCPS (College of Physicians & Surgeons Pakistan)
  • MD / MS (university programmes, e.g. KEMU, DUHS, UHS)
  • MRCP / MRCS / FRCS or other recognised international boards

  • Diploma-level postgraduate qualifications (DCH, DGO, DA) without a subsequent fellowship

Pharmacists

Pharm-D (5-year) from an HEC-recognised university with provincial pharmacy council registration; older B.Pharm holders are usually accepted with additional experience.

Allied health

BS / BSc in MLT, Radiography, Anaesthesia Technology or DPT from an HEC-recognised university; 2-year diplomas generally map to technician tiers.

Common problems for Pakistani applicants

  • HEC attestation missing — most Gulf embassies will not attest a Pakistani degree until HEC has stamped it first
  • PM&DC registration lapsed or still in the old PMC format from the 2020–2022 transition — renew before requesting Good Standing
  • PNC Good Standing / verification letters delayed when the council's own records are incomplete for older diplomas
  • Name mismatch between passport, degree certificate and council registration (a missing middle name or a different spelling is enough to stall DataFlow)
  • Experience letters that don't state the hospital's bed count, your exact dates or the HR office contact details verifiers will phone
  • Internship or house-job time counted as post-qualification experience — every GCC authority counts experience only after full registration
  • Lapsed or un-renewed home-council registration at the time the Good Standing Certificate is requested
