Prometric Mock Exam Online 2026: Full-Length Timed Practice Tests for Nurses, Doctors, Pharmacists, Dentists and Allied Health, and How to Use Them

Where to sit a full-length, timed Prometric mock exam online in 2026, why a mock is different from practising questions, how many you need, how to read your score, and how the three timed mock papers in every Prometric Medical Consultancy exam bank work for DHA, MOHAP, SCFHS, QCHP, NHRA and OMSB candidates.

Most candidates who fail the Prometric exam knew the material. They failed on pacing: too long on the first forty questions, panic in the last thirty, four blank answers at the end. The only cure is to sit the exam before you sit the exam. This guide explains what a real mock is, how to use it and where to take one online.

A mock exam is not "practice questions"

Practice questionsMock exam
10 to 50 questions at a timeThe full paper: 100 to 150 questions
Feedback after each questionNo feedback until the end
One domain at a timeEvery domain mixed, in random order
No clockThe real time limit, usually 2 to 3 hours
Builds knowledgeBuilds stamina, pacing and judgement under pressure

You need both. Practice questions first, mocks in the last two to three weeks.

Where to sit a Prometric mock online

Every exam bank at Prometric Medical Consultancy includes three full-length timed mock papers. Each one draws a fresh set of questions from the whole bank, runs the real time limit for your exam (usually 3 hours), gives no feedback until you submit, then shows your score with a full review of every question and explanation. Pick your exam from the exams page: for example Registered Nurse, General Practice, Pharmacist, General Dentist or Physiotherapist.

The mocks are part of the bank, not a separate purchase. Chapter 1 of every exam is free to try first, so you can see the question style before you pay.

How many mocks, and when

  • Mock 1, about three weeks out. Diagnostic. Expect a disappointing score; its job is to show you your three weakest domains.
  • Mock 2, about ten days out. After you have fixed those domains with chapter practice. Score should rise by 10 to 15 points.
  • Mock 3, three to five days out. Confirmation. If you clear 70%, book with confidence. If not, move the exam date rather than hope.

Three well-reviewed mocks beat ten rushed ones. The review is where the marks are.

How to sit a mock properly

  1. Same time of day as your real appointment, in one sitting, phone off.
  2. No notes, no pausing, no looking up answers.
  3. Flag questions you are unsure of and move on; come back at the end.
  4. Answer everything. There is no negative marking in Gulf licensing exams.
  5. After submitting, review every question, including the ones you got right by guessing. Log each error by domain and by cause: did not know, misread, changed a right answer, ran out of time.

Reading your score

Mock scoreWhat it means
Below 55%Not ready. Go back to chapter practice for two to three weeks.
55 to 65%Borderline. The real exam feels harder than a mock, so this is a coin toss. Fix the weakest domains first.
65 to 75%Likely pass. One more mock to confirm, then book.
Above 75%Ready. Stop cramming, sleep, and review your error log once.

Pass marks are about 60% for most authorities, sometimes scaled (pass scores by authority), so aim ten points clear of the line.

Common mock mistakes

  • Sitting a mock on day one. You learn nothing except that you are not ready.
  • Retaking the same mock to feel better. A memorised paper is not a mock.
  • Skipping the review. The score is the least useful part.
  • Only practising your own specialty. The paper covers the whole blueprint, so does the mock.

Next steps

Start with the free chapter 1 preview of your exam on the exams page, follow the 30-day study plan, and read exam day rules before your real appointment. If you have not received eligibility yet, the eligibility check tells you which exam you will sit.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a free Prometric mock exam online?

Free chapter previews are available for every exam on our site. Full-length timed mocks are part of the paid bank, because a real mock needs a bank large enough to draw a fresh paper from.

How long is a Prometric mock exam?

The same as your real paper: usually 100 to 150 questions in 2 to 3 hours, depending on the exam code.

How many mock exams should I take before the Prometric exam?

Three, spaced over the last three weeks, each fully reviewed.

What score on a mock means I will pass?

Consistently above 70% on different mocks is a reliable sign. Below 60% is not.

Are the mock questions the same as the real exam?

Same blueprint, style and difficulty. They are original questions, not leaked exam items.
