Prometric Exam for Specialist Doctors: Specialty Question Banks Online 2026 for Internal Medicine, Paediatrics, Emergency, Surgery, Cardiology, Dermatology, Psychiatry, Ob-Gyn and More, with Timed Mocks
Which online question bank a specialist doctor should use for the DHA, MOHAP, SCFHS, QCHP, NHRA or OMSB specialty Prometric exam in 2026: the specialty exam codes, bank sizes from 1,800 to 3,800 questions for internal medicine, paediatrics, emergency medicine, surgery, cardiology, dermatology, psychiatry, obstetrics and more, pass marks by title, timed mocks and cost.
Specialists do not sit the GP paper. Each specialty has its own Prometric exam code, its own blueprint and often a higher pass mark, and the question bank has to match. This page maps the common specialty exams to the right bank, with sizes, so you can see what you are buying before the free preview.
How specialty exams work
- Code per specialty. A specialist in internal medicine sits INT5921, a dermatologist DER5421, a cardiologist CRD5751. The code is on your eligibility notice.
- Pass marks by title. Specialist papers usually require 60 to 65%, consultant papers 65 to 70%, with some authorities using scaled scores (pass scores by authority).
- Exemptions. Holders of certain boards and fellowships skip the written exam (exemptions); everyone else sits it.
- Format. Usually 100 to 150 single-best-answer MCQs in 2.5 to 3 hours, at independent-practitioner level in the specialty, plus the general medicine that borders it.
The general route for specialists is in Prometric exam for specialist doctors, and recognition of your postgraduate degree in FCPS, MRCP, MD and Arab Board recognition.

Consultant titles in paediatrics, dermatology, internal medicine, family medicine and ophthalmology have their own consultant-level banks, and smaller specialties such as gastroenterology, nephrology, endocrinology, rheumatology and pulmonology have starter banks; all are on the exams page. Every bank has an explanation on each question, three full-length timed mocks, unlimited retries for three months and a free chapter 1 preview.
How specialists should prepare differently
- Cover the borders. A cardiology paper still asks about diabetes, renal dosing and perioperative care. Work the chapters you would normally refer out.
- Aim ten points above the pass mark. Consultant papers at 70% leave little room; target 80% on mocks.
- Check guidelines, not memory. Specialty exams follow current international guidance. Ten years of practice does not update a target that changed in 2024.
- Sit the mocks. Senior doctors skip timed practice more than anyone and run out of time more than anyone.
The method is in how to use a question bank; GPs should read the DHA exam for doctors preparation guide.
