Best Prometric Exam Question Bank 2026: The 7 Things to Check Before You Pay, and How Ours Measures Up
How to choose a Prometric exam question bank in 2026: the seven things that separate a bank that gets you through DHA, MOHAP, SCFHS, QCHP, NHRA or OMSB from a recycled PDF, with a checklist, red flags, what a fair price looks like, and how the Prometric Medical Consultancy banks compare on each point.
Type "Prometric question bank" into Google and you get two kinds of result: a handful of structured banks with explanations, and hundreds of PDFs and Telegram files promising "real exam questions". The second kind is why so many experienced nurses and doctors fail an exam they should have passed. This guide gives you a seven-point checklist for choosing a bank, then shows honestly how our own banks score against it.
1. Is it written to your exam's blueprint?
Every Gulf licensing paper has a published blueprint: the domains and their weighting. A nursing bank that is 40% pharmacology when the paper is 15% pharmacology wastes your time. Ask whether the bank is organised by the exam's own domains and whether question counts follow the weighting. If the seller cannot tell you the blueprint, they have not read it.
Ours: each bank is built per Prometric exam code (RNT0312 Registered Nurse, GEN5331 General Practice, PHO5481 Pharmacist and so on) and split into chapters that follow the blueprint. The Registered Nurse bank has 28 chapters and about 2,750 questions; General Practice has 56 chapters and about 5,600. See syllabus by profession.
2. Does every question have an explanation?
A question with only a letter answer teaches you nothing. You need to know why B is right and why A, C and D are wrong, because the real exam asks the same concept with the options rearranged. A bank without explanations is an answer key, not a study tool.
Ours: every question carries a detailed explanation shown immediately after you answer.
3. Is it large enough?
Candidates who pass first time typically work through 1,500 to 2,500 questions. A 300-question "bank" runs out in a week. Numbers alone are not quality, but a bank below about 1,000 questions cannot cover a full blueprint with enough variety.
Ours: over 230,000 questions across 126 exams. Typical sizes: Pharmacist about 3,000, Medical Laboratory Technologist about 3,500, Physiotherapist about 2,100, Anaesthesia Technician about 2,400, Paramedic about 1,700, General Dentist about 5,500. Browse the full catalogue.
4. Can you sit timed, full-length mocks?
The exam is 100 to 150 questions in 2 to 3 hours. Practising ten questions at a time never trains the pacing, fatigue and decision-making of a three-hour sitting. A bank must include full-length timed papers with no feedback until the end, the way the real exam works.
Ours: three full-length timed mock papers per exam, drawn from the whole bank, with the result and review at the end.
5. Can you try it before you pay?
Any serious bank lets you see real questions first. If the only preview is a screenshot, assume the questions inside look different.
Ours: chapter 1 of every exam is a free preview of 15 questions with explanations, no card required. Open any exam on the exams page and start chapter 1.
6. What does it cost, and for how long?
Fair pricing for a full bank with explanations and mocks in 2026 sits between about USD 30 and USD 80 for three months. Above that you are paying for marketing; far below that you are usually buying a recycled PDF. Beware of monthly subscriptions that quietly renew.
Ours: nursing and allied health banks from USD 33.99, physician and dentist banks USD 64.99, each for three months, with unlimited retries and no recurring charge. The access window is long enough for the 30-day plan plus a retake buffer.
Prices are in US dollars and shown before checkout; home-currency figures use fixed rates (USD 1 = INR 88, PKR 280, PHP 57, EGP 49) and your card issuer sets the final conversion. Access runs for three months from activation.
7. Red flags that should end the conversation
- "Actual exam questions" or "leaked paper". Prometric rotates items and treats shared content as cheating. Candidates have lost eligibility for it.
- No explanations, or explanations that are one line copied from the question.
- Wrong answers. Test five questions you know cold. One wrong key in five means the whole file is unreliable.
- No stated exam code. "DHA nursing questions" is not an exam; RNT0312 is.
- Payment only through personal bank transfer or a chat app.

How to get the most out of any bank
Buying the bank is not the preparation. The method that works is timed blocks, an error log by domain and three mocks before you book, explained in how to use a question bank and how to pass on the first attempt. If you are not sure which exam code you will sit, run the eligibility check first.
